Did you know that more than 50 of Minnesota’s state parks have their own nature store? As you take that last autumn hike or your first snowy trek at your favorite park, consider stopping into the park store to check some items off your holiday list.
Park nature stores differ in size and scope but many include a wide variety of gifts that will call to mind precious time spent in nature–from park name sweatshirts to nature-based games, locally made soaps, and other handicrafts.
An added benefit: Shopping at a state park is much more fun than going to the mall! Check out the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources interactive map version, where you can select a park’s name for more information to help plan your visit.
