Hike covers roughly a mile and includes steps, a portion of boardwalk and hilly terrain. Sturdy shoes are recommended. Front and backpack carriers are encouraged for younger children as the trail is not stroller friendly.

This program is free to attend, but a vehicle permit is required for all motor vehicles entering the park. It is $7 for a day or $35 for a 12-month permit. Permits can be purchased online or at the park office.
