Parks & Trails Council decided to pilot an updated version of its youth engagement grant in 2024. Two Friends Groups were selected for this initial year of funding, with projects intended to foster a greater appreciation for Minnesota’s rich natural heritage in the next generation.
We have been thrilled to partner with the following groups and appreciate the creativity and hard work that went into all of the applications that we received.
$900 – Field trips for underrepresented youth organized in coordination with Project GO.
$1000 – Organizing an educational field trip to the park for local grade schoolers.
