Several species of woodpeckers call Nerstrand Big Woods home. Their quest for insects and the perfect nest tree leaves their mark on the forest. Join us on a mile and a half hike to look for some of them and the signs they leave behind. You may be surprised by what you discover about these industrious birds!
Trail conditions will be mostly flat with a mix of packed dirt and gravel surface. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable footwear for hiking.
