Dorothy Anderson

Dorothy Anderson, PhD retired from her role as department head and professor at North Carolina State University’s Department of Parks Recreation and Tourism Management in 2015. Prior to that she worked for ten years at the University of Minnesota’s Department of Forest Resources. She has authored numerous research articles and technical reports addressing the human dimensions of natural resource management. She has also been awarded numerous awards and special honors for her academic work, including the 1990 MN DNR’s Excellence in Performance Award for “outstanding service to the public and state park system.”
