Community grants support bicycle infrastructure projects and targeted advocacy initiatives that make bicycling easier and safer for people of all ages and abilities.
The next round of PeopleForBikes Industry Community Grant Program opens on September 1, 2024. Applicants can submit a Letter of Interest through a form on this website until October 11, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. PT. Applications are evaluated based on project quality, benefits to the community, measurement and evaluation, community support and partnership, role of grant funding, and project diversity.
Grant requests need to have at least 1:1 grant match. A specific percentage match is not required, but leverage and funding partnerships is considered very carefully. The grant program is funded by partners in the bicycle industry, such as Batch, Cannondale, Giant, Niner, Shimano, Trek, and Vaast.
Bike paths, lanes, trails and bridges; mountain bike facilities; repair stations, bike racks, and storage; bike parks and pump tracks; programs that transform city streets; initiatives that are designed to increase ridership or infrastructure investment.
