 to a bonfire with some hot chocolate or cider provided by the Friends of N
 erstrand Big Woods State Park.\n\nA limited number of snowshoes are availa
 ble to rent on a first come-first served basis. This event is held outside
 \, so dress for winter weather. Extreme cold or unsafe weather may lead to
  the cancelation of this event.\n\nThe event is free to attend\, but a veh
 icle permit is required for all motor vehicles entering the park. It is $7
  for a day or $35 for a 12-month permit. Permits can be purchased online o
