Have you ever thought about thru-hiking the Superior Hiking Trail? Or maybe just a day-hike on the SHT? Did you even know that Minnesota has one of the finest foot trails in the nation and that it crosses seven state parks?
If any of these apply to you, you should join us for this fun and informative presentation by Grammy, who thru-hiked the SHT last fall. She documented much of her travels in video diaries, photos, and notes. Discover the beauty of this incredible resource and learn tips and tricks for planning your own hike.
Donna Minter is a retired nonprofit professional who lives in Minneapolis. She loves the outdoors and has enjoyed hiking, bicycling and camping throughout her life. After retiring she was inspired to answer poet Mary Oliver’s question, “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” by embarking on the outdoor adventures, including thru-hiking the Superior Hiking Trail. She is currently planning her next adventure, which is to bicycle 3,200 miles across America to raise $500,000 for five local and national climate action organizations.
