Sara Holger

The Healing Forest: Nature prescriptions & forest therapy

A growing movement is underfoot that puts nature front and center to healthcare. Hear how “forest therapy” works and how the Park Rx movement is growing in Minnesota.

Sara Holger is the lead interpretive naturalist at Whitewater State Park and a certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide. She is a founding member of the Southeast Minnesota Park Rx team and she founded the non-profit Project Get Outdoors, which works to connect children to nature. She is the mother of three amazing kids and enjoys hiking, kayaking and rock collecting!

One drink ticket of your choice of beer, wine, or soft drink

Plated Dinner

Choice of the following:

  • Eggplant roulade with creamy polenta (vegan & gluten-free)
  • Bruschetta Balsamic Chicken (gluten-free)
    Bruschetta cream sauce and balsamic reduction
  • Almond & thyme crusted walleye
    Breaded with panko, almonds, fresh thyme, parmesan, spice blend, and served with lemon.
