Habitat restoration, or natural communities restoration, is an important element of public lands management. And, friends groups can play a role in restoration efforts! Our public lands are enhanced when volunteers engage in hands-on, habitat restoration projects that contribute to a land ethic. Join this webinar for a discussion about habitat restoration in Minnesota’s parks and trails.

  • Learn about what habitat restoration is and how it shows up in DNR-managed parks and trails.
  • Understand the process for friends groups to work with the DNR on habitat restoration projects.

Speakers:

Ed Quinn

DNR, Natural Resource Program Supervisor

Ed Quinn is the Natural Resource Program Supervisor for the DNR’s Parks and Trails Division.  He holds an MS in Biology from the University of MN and a BS in Fish and Wildlife from Michigan State University.  He has worked for MN DNR for over 20 years.  Prior to that he worked for the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department and park systems in Michigan and Ohio.
