NorthStar Trail Travelers (NSTT) first walk events of 2022 will be held on the North Shore. On Saturday, May 14, we will walk at Crosby-Manitou State Park. Register between 9 a.m, and 2 p.m. and finish by 4 p.m. Fees from $2-$8.
We have three trails for you to walk totaling 11km. A 7km trail will take you on the Matt Willis and Beaver Bog trails, which are challenging with hills, rocks and roots. For an easier trail, take the 2km out and back Yellow Birch trail which still has some rocks and roots but less challenging. If you need an easy walk, go around the Lake Benson boardwalk for a nice easy 2km trail.
Registration is at the picnic area by Lake Benson. Brats/hot dogs and other food will be available for a donation throughout the day. Leashed, well-behaved dogs are welcome. After the walk, the club will host its popular Hobo Soup Supper. Bring along something to add to the pot, as well as a side dish to share and your own beverage.
