[CANCELED] Free Snowshoe Class

NOTE: This class has been canceled due to negative temperatures and lack of snow. The Friends of Lake Maria are hoping to reschedule in March.

The Friends Group here at Lake Maria State Park is offering a free snowshoe class for all age groups on Saturday, January 20, from 10:00-11:30 A.M. 

Bruce Gravelle, a naturalist, will present information on selecting the right size and style of snowshoes, snowshoeing techniques, and a history of snowshoeing.

Lake Maria State Park will provide a wide variety of snowshoes and sizes, free of charge for all people who wish to attend and try out snowshoeing.

A hike is planned after the presentation, so dress for comfort and fun, no matter the weather conditions.
