The Dwarf Trout Lily is an endangered, ephemeral wild flower found in only three counties in Minnesota, and no where else in the world. Nerstrand State Park is one of the few places where they can be seen. The Dwarf Trout Lily and other ephemeral can be seen for about 4 weeks in spring but the dates are determined by the weather. The Friends of Nerstrand State Park provide ambassadors to point out and explain the wild flowers on the weekends when the flowers are blooming. Please check the park web site for the dates when the flowers can be seen.
