Come enjoy an evening in the park by candlelight. Snowshoe, ski, or hike.
If there is a lack of snow, this event will be a hike event instead of a ski and snowshoe event. The trail begins at the park’s picnic area up on the bluff top with beautiful views of the Mississippi River Valley.
A roaring fire in the wood stove in the picnic shelter/warming house will offer event goers a place to warm up and enjoy some coffee or hot chocolate and cookies as long as supplies last.
Vehicles entering the park are required to have a State Park Pass. Vehicle passes are $7 per day; or $35 for a yearly sticker. Skiers 16 and older will need a MN Ski Pass to participate. These will be on sale at the park. Ski passes are $10 for a day pass; $25 for the year; or $70 for three years.
A limited number of snowshoes will also be available for rent for $6.00 per pair.
