Bike the to the border and beyond! Prairie Visions is supporting the Wapsi-Great Western Line Trail Association in hosting an Iowa to Minnesota bike ride.
The event includes multiple bike route options.
- Family Route: 22 miles round trip, entirely on the Wapsi-Great Western Line Trail in Iowa
- Intermediate Route: 40-50 miles, on WGWL Trail and county hard-surface roadways
- Advanced Route: 56 miles, on WGWL Trail, Shooting Star Trail, and county hard-surface roadways
Ride commences at Wapsi-Great Western Line Trailhead & Welcome Center (110 East Main Street, Riceville IA 50466)
Want to ride with a group? Riders can collect and depart at quarter past the hour between 7 A.M. and 5 P.M. Riders may also depart as they wish. Shuttle available upon request.
It is $12 to ride, and Star Wars themed Border Bike apparel is available on a first come, first serve basis.
Listing of refreshment establishments and map provided to registered riders a week prior to the Border Bike. Physical map provided at registration check-in. Many establishments providing specials to officially banded Border Bike riders, like free coffee or soda with a purchase of any kind, etc.
