Come and meet artist, Laura Ahola-Young. Laura’s work in this exhibit reflects her investigation into Critical Plant Theory, a new inquiry in the humanities that examines the human/plant relationship. Through algae, the study of photosynthesis, microscopic details and the role of oxygen and carbon in climate change- her paintings celebrate plants. All of her work is grounded in her own homeland – the Boundary Waters of Minnesota. Laura’s work will be on display in the Visitor Center throughout the month of June.
You can meet Laura in person on Friday, June 7th from 7 to 8:30 pm in the Tettegouche Visitor Center. Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of Tettegouche State Park.
