January’s “Art in the Park” at Tettegouche State Park will feature Jane Johnson’s north shore inspired painting series titled “Bold North”.
The artist reception is Friday, January 3, 2020, 7:00-8:30 pm at the Tettegouche Visitors Center and will feature an artist talk by Jane Johnson, refreshments and guitar music by Jeff Harrington of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Her painting will be available for viewing through the month of January.
Artist Statement of Jane Johnson:
“My paintings evoke my emotional response to nature. Forms evolve using memories of shapes found on my walks in wild places. Expressive, bright colors are the manifestation of the joy of living in a place with easy access to parks and trails.”
“My hope is that the viewer will find their own story in my paintings and experience the peace and happiness that is found in nature.”
