A great opportunity to enjoy a bi-state ride with family and friends through Prairie Vision and Wapsi Trail country. The Minnesota communities of LeRoy, Taopi, Adams, and Rose Creek; plus the Iowa communities of Riceville, McIntire, and Elma are working together to host the 22nd Annual Shooting Star Trail Bike Ride.
This ride covers flat terrain, wild flowers, oak savanna, tall grass prairie, corn and soybean fields, small towns, and country life. Rest stops with food and water are provided in the rural towns of Rose Creek, LeRoy, Taopi, Adams, Riceville, Elma, and McIntire. All routes are fully supported, some are patrolled with motorcycles and are fully supported with sag wagon.
Ride Choices:
- 20 Mile Exerciser (trail only)
- 35 Mile Exerciser (county roads and Wapsi-Great Western Trail)
- 55 Mile Workout (Wapsi-Great Wester Trail, and county roads)
- 72 Mile Workout (Wapsi-Great Wester Trail, Shooting Star Trail, and county roads)
