The Cannon Valley Trail has a new interactive map showing trail features such as access points, parking, restrooms, water stations and wheel pass pay stations. When zooming in to the various features there is an option for viewing a photo of that area. This is helpful for giving users a preview of what to expect along the trail.
The Cannon Valley Trail is a 19.7-mile trail running along the Cannon River from the city of Cannon Falls to Red Wing. It is a regional trail that requires a trail pass, which can be purchased at various locations along the trail. Parks & Trails Council of Minnesota played in instrumental role in establishing the trail by assisting with the acquisition of the abandoned railroad line in 1983.
