Retiring park manager Elain Feikema

It has been a privilege to serve the last 12 years as manager at Nerstrand Big Woods State Park. As visitors you also play an important role in the stewardship of the rare and unique resources found here. While I’m changing roles, it will always to be my mission to preserve and protect state parks that provide unforgettable experiences for visitors.

I will be joining the ranks of the Friends group that supports the state parks System Plan and local park efforts. This work has been rewarding and challenging as a manager and now I plan to retire so I can do the “fun” things with fellow dedicated volunteers.
Come to say good-bye, share some memories or just eat cake!
