Parks & Trails Council of Minnesota seeks executive director

The Parks & Trails Council of Minnesota (PTCM), the state's leading not-for-profit parks and trails advocate, seeks an Executive Director with exceptional leadership, management and fundraising abilities.

For over 50 years, the PTCM has been promoting park and trail acquisition and development in Minnesota. During that time it has acquired thousands of acres of land essential for preserving Minnesota's natural heritage and providing high-quality public outdoor recreation opportunities.

Under the direction and oversight of the PTCM Board of Directors, the Executive Director is responsible for providing leadership and strategic planning; raising and administering an annual operating budget of more than $600,000 and land acquisition funds in excess of $5 million; managing land acquisition, government/external relations, communications, and fundraising programs; and supervising a staff of eight, including government relations, land acquisition, communications, fundraising, and administrative professionals. Salary and benefits are commensurate with experience and competitive within the non-profit sector.
